Exciting News
We have exciting news. We have our design back for the playground. The children did a wonderful job picking their selections for their playground. We now have our goal for our build day, it is $39,528.33. There was a show put on by Theatre Newfoundland and Labrador on Wednesday, June 13th. We would like to thank them for that great opportunity. It was a great success, there were 98 people in attendance. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us. We received 50% of the proceeds from the ticket sales towards our playground. Stayed tuned for our next exciting update.

Another Milestone Completed!!!
A BIG Thank You to all
the kiddies who came out to help design the playground equipment for Hillview
Park. Remember it’s your
playground. Also, thanks to all the
adults who came out to support them in their decision. There were 38 kiddies who showed up on
DOT-mocracy Day. While we waited for
everyone to show up the kiddies had fun coloring pictures and admiring the
posters of the playground equipment that was displayed on the wall. While viewing the posters their faces lighted
up with excitement. There were so much
buzz and happy faces around the room.
Each child was given 5 stars and they were asked to stick them on their
most favourite pieces. After their big
decisions were made they all had pizza and garlic fingers. The pieces of equipment will be tallied and sent
back to Let Them Be Kids in a few days to be designed and when they have your
playground designed, a picture will be posted on this website… so stay tuned!!!
As well, stay tuned
for updates on the date for the Skateboard Park DOT-mocracy…
